Anthithottam India Tour 2025

Singapore Kairalee Kala Nilayam proudly presented Anthithottam across multiple cities in India as part of its India Tour 2025, receiving overwhelming appreciation and recognition from audiences and distinguished personalities.

Thiruvananthapuram – 13 September 2025

The tour commenced in Thiruvananthapuram with an exceptional response from the audience. The overwhelming turnout was such that many had to be turned away at the gates, reflecting the strong anticipation and reception for the performance.

Kairalee extends its heartfelt gratitude to Soorya Krishnamoorthy for his kind appreciation, and to the distinguished guests — Professor Aliyar, Theatre Director Vinod Kumar, and Margaret Michoud (Director, Alliance Française de Trivandrum) — for gracing the occasion. The event was organised by the Federation of All India Malayalee Associations with seamless support from Lockdown Artworks.

The evening was further enriched by the presence of eminent personalities including Sudhakaran Ramanthali (Kendra Sahitya Akademi Award winner), Joseph Neenasam (renowned theatre personality from Karnataka), and Reji Kumar (Secretary, Kerala Samajam & FAIMA National General Secretary).

A proud moment for Kairalee was the recognition of D. Sudheeran, Advisor to Singapore Kairalee Kala Nilayam, who was honoured with FAIMA’s Lifetime Achievement Award for his outstanding contribution to theatre. Immediate invitations for extended runs in cities such as Bengaluru and Mumbai further highlighted the powerful and universal impact of Anthithottam.

Bengaluru – 20 September 2025

The Bengaluru performance continued the tour’s success, drawing an appreciative audience and reinforcing the universal appeal of Anthithottam. The production resonated deeply with theatre enthusiasts, further strengthening Kairalee’s presence on the Indian theatre circuit.

Chennai – 21 September 2025

The Chennai performance was especially poignant, coinciding with the death anniversary of Muchilot Madhavan — the very hero whom Anthithottam honours — transforming the staging into a heartfelt tribute.

Organised by Dakshina Chennai, the evening was made memorable by the presence of Dr. Rajendra Babu, noted scriptwriter and President of Dakshina Chennai, who honoured the team on stage. Kairalee extends its sincere thanks to the Chennai audience for their warmth, appreciation, and support.
